Title: | California Cultures |
Date: | 1995-2018 |
Description: | California Cultures is a Web site created by the Online Archive of California that presents information about the history of four major ethnic groups in California; African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans. The site includes primary source materials from partner institutions such as the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of California, Berkeley. It also contains lesson plans based on the California Content Standards. Within the African American section of the Web site is a section dedicated to the Civil Rights movement from the 1950s to the 1970s. This section includes links to other civil rights collections in Calisphere. The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata. |
