This Web site documents the Civil Rights movement in Seattle, Washington, from the perspective of African Americans, Asian Americans, Latinos, and Urban Indians. The site includes oral histories, films and slide shows, research reports, and information for teachers as well as sections on local civil rights organizations, ethnic newspaper presses, and information about the history of racial segregation in Seattle.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
