Entry on the Arkansas State Press, an advocacy newspaper founded in 1941 by civil rights activist Lucious and Daisy Bates. The newspaper was modeled on African-American newspapers from the north, and helped to promote civil rights activism throughout the state. Includes photographs.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
