History section of the Web site of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The site documents the sit-ins beginning on February 1, 1960 and spreading throughout the world. The Museum then explores day-to-day events and milestones of the 1960s as the movement spread throughout the south and across the nation and the world. The site has a timeline of the movement, photographs, and information on the sit-in and the participants.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
