| Description: | Just as the Missouri Constitution reflects the state-wide policies of the state of Missouri regarding African-American education, the statutes enacted give more detail as to how that education would be provided. In addition to the overall statutes regarding education, this section also includes the appropriations given to the sole source for higher education for African-Americans in Missouri, Lincoln University, and, for the sake of comparison, the appropriations for the University of Missouri. For the ease of the user, the chapter headings for each section have been included. The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata. |
