Charles Mingus's handwritten trumpet score for his jazz composition "Fables of Faubus." Mingus wrote this song in response to Arkansas Governer Orval Faubus summoning the Arkanasas National Guard to prevent nine African American students from entering Little Rock Central High School.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
