Description:

Letter from Eugene A.R. Montgomery, the executive secretary, of the South Carolina chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Columbia, South Carolina, to Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr. of Summerton, South Carolina, regarding a petition to school boards officials; Reverend Seals' plans to raise funds for a school desegregation case; the administration of Scott's Branch School; and request for travel expenses. Montgomery asks if DeLaine's wife is still the acting principal of Scott's Branch School.
