Black-and-white photograph, taken June 17, 1951, of James W. Seals, treasurer of the Clarendon County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); J. S. Boyd, president; E. E. Richburg, executive secretary; and Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., organizer and former executive secretary.

"The picture was taken June 17, 1951 when the awards were given out for the valiant work done by the Plaintiffs of the Clarendon County School Case. The characters are from left to right: Rev. J. W. Seals, Treasurer of the Clarendon County Branch NAACP, Mr. J. S. Boyd, President, Rev. E. E. Richburg, Executive Secretary, Rev. J. A. DeLaine, Organizer of the Clarendon County Branch and the former executive secretary"--verso photograph.
