The report details local civil rights work, including complaints against a local agency, bus depot discrimination, traffic fatality complaint, post office complaints, television complaints, county board of education, protest of treatment of arrested African Americans, hospital complaint, membership and voter registration, the Miss Social Belle contest, discrimination at the University of Tennessee Downtown center, and the NAACP state conference. The University of Tennessee Libraries (Knoxville, Tennessee) is the digital publisher. The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata. |
