Description: | Recreation Center (Farmville) Recreation center off Longwood Ave. in Farmville, Va. It was purchased for $5,000 and improved by Prince Edward County African American citizens through their Farmville Recreation Association. It was used as a community center for African Americans throughout the county. It was also the site of activities conducted by the Richmond Committee of Volunteers to Prince Edward County.
