Description: | Announces: CON's Unlimited meeting "held on Thursday Oct. 14, 1971 at 7:00 p.m." Calls for: The organization of persons who have "suffered the deprivations of incarceration" composed of all ethnic groups; Anglo, Black, Native American, Chicano, and Asian. "The main thrust of the group is to work with and for the Brotherhood and educational betterment of all those who have served or are now serving time in any correctional institution.... It is believed that this organization is the first of it's kind in any of the institutions of higher learning throughout the country." The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata. |
