Arthur Cash, Chairman of the Veterans Committee, reported that the National Branch of the NAACP has gone on record as being opposed to program of universal military training. The committee wrote a letter to Governor Wallgren urging integration of Black into the National Guard. The clipping also addresses housing issues in the area and states that people who desire demountable housing should contact Housing Authority or W.H. Underwood, Housing Authority Chairman. W. Irving Jone, Chairman of the Committee on Education announced voting schools. Jone encourages people to write sentors and congressmen to support the anti-poll taz and anti-lynching legislation.
