He discusses photographing the admission of the first black student, James Meredith, into the University of Mississippi. The effects of the assassination on Martin Luther King on the protests and marches is talked about. He finishes by discussing the differences between the youth of the 60s and the youth of today, and the effects of the protest movements. The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata. |
