Cade, Cathy, 1942-
Biography:
Native of Memphis, Tennessee, Cade attended Carleton College in Minnesota and spent her junior year at Spelman College in Atlanta in 1962. Upon graduation in 1963, Cade went to work with SNCC in Southwest Georgia. Next, she entered Tulane University as a graduate student in sociology. A participant in Freedom Summer, Cade helped organize the Southern Student Organizing Committee. (Tulane: The Emergence of a Modern University, 1945-1980)
