Gabrielle, Yolanda
Biography:
In 1960, Yolanda Gabrielle, then six-years-old, attended William Frantz school from the time it was integrated on November 14 until December 14. After mounting pressure on the Gabrielle family by whites angered that they would defy the Louisiana Citizens' Council boycott of the desegregated schools, the Gabrielle family moved to Rhode Island.
