Hope, Julius C., (Julius Caesar), 1932-
Biography:
Julius Caesar Hope was an African American Baptist minister and civil rights leader in Brunswick and Macon, Georgia in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1975, he ran for mayor of Macon. He was elected president of the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP at the meeting held in Brunswick in 1966 and served until his appointment as director of religious affairs for the national NAACP in 1978.
