Lima, Albert J., 1907-1989

Biography:

Albert J. Lima was the leader of the California Communist Party. He ran unsuccessfully twice as a Communist candidate for the House of Representatives. In 1952, he was among 14 who convicted of conspiring to overthrow the United States government, a verdict that was overturned in 1958 by the U.S. Supreme Court.
