Morheuser, Marilyn, 1924-1995
Biography:
A former Catholic nun who quit her Catholic order to become a civil rights activist in Milwaukee in 1963, where she served as one of the leaders of Milwaukee United School Integration Committee (MUSIC). She relocated to New Jersey, where she received a law degree from Rutgers and continued to advocate on behalf of civil rights issues. As an attorney, she represented ACLU of New Jersey, the Urban League, and the NAACP.
