Biography:
Taylor L. Osment was pastor of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church in 1972 when schools in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, were paired for desegregation by court order. Lumpkin Road Baptist Church opened its doors to white students who chose not to accept busing to previously African American schools.
