Biography:
Leander Perez was a prosecuting attorney for Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. In 1965, the FBI opened an investigation of Perez for his possible violation of Civil Rights statutes for depriving Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana residents from their right to freedom of religion and integrated education. -- Federal Bureau of Investigation WWW site.
