Pitts, Claude V.

Biography:

In the early 1930s, Pitts was president of the Los Angeles Men's Forum, an African-American civil rights organization. Pitts worked as a blacksmith and shop foreman in Los Angeles. He was twice elected to the presidency of the Los Angeles Men's Forum, a civil rights organization, and he ran two times as a Socialist candidate for the California Legislature.
