Rhodes, Alfred Henry, 1941-
Biography:
Alfred Henry Rhodes was born on March 16, 1941 in Midnight, Mississippi. Rhodes graduated from Tougaloo College and attended graduate school at Jackson State University. He became an organizer and leader in the local civil rights movement during the 1950s and 1960s and participating in numerous demonstrations and marches. In 1967, Rhodes ran to represent Hinds County in the Mississippi House.
