Summers, Jack
Biography:
In 1957, Summers, a barber supply salesman, ran for Atlanta's board of aldermen against T.M. Alexander, an African American. Georgia Governor Marvin Griffin stated that "all friends of segregation" should support Summers. -- A Voting Rights Odyssey: Black Enfranchisement in Georgia, 2003.
