Summers, William E., 1918-1986

Biography:

William E. Summers was a minister and radio executive in Louisville, Kentucky. He also worked for the Louisville Defender. In 1967, Summers became the first African American in the U.S. to manage a radio station and in 1970 became the first African American radio station owner in Kentucky.
