Thomas, Henry
Biography:
Henry Thomas, then a 19 year-old Howard University student, participated in the CORE Freedom Ride from Washington, D.C. to New Orleans, Louisiana from May 4 to 17, 1961 was arrested on May 25, 1961 in Jackson, Mississippi for his participation in the Freedom Rides. Thomas also participated in the July 13 to 24, 1961 Freedom Ride from New York city (via Chattanooga, Tennessee) to Little Rock, Arkansas.
