Thirty-three year old Baptist minister from Aurora, Illinois, Rev. Robert Wesby was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi on 8 June 1961 for his participation in a Freedom Ride on the Illinois Central Railroad from New Orleans, Louisiana to Jackson, Mississippi.
