Zellner, Bob
Biography:
Robert Zellner was born April 5, 1939 in southern Alabama. A SNCC member and field secretary, he attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery. At twenty-two, he rode from Atlanta, Georgia to Albany Georgia on the Central Georgia Railroad on December 10, 1961. In 1991 he started a Ph.D. program in History at Tulane University, writing a dissertation on the southern civil rights movement.--Inventory of the Jack Rabin collection on Alabama civil rights and southern activists, 1941-2004 (bulk 1956-1974), Penn State University.
