Section of online exhibit focusing on efforts to overcome discrimination in public accommodations ranging from the 1944 Irene Morgan court case against segregated seating on buses to the 1961 sit-ins and the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The page includes ten black-and-white photographs and one newspaper article from the Virginia Historical Society, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and the Valentine Richmond History Center.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
